September 6th System Update

On Friday, September 6th, the City will be conducting a GIS system update that will impact the following City systems and services:

• New permit applications through the City’s paperless permitting system
• Interactive maps on City websites

The update is anticipated to take the full business day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Q: Will I be able to check on the status of a permit that is already being processed?
A: Yes, permits that are in progress or under review will still be accessible through the City’s paperless permitting system. The update will only impact new applications on Friday, September 6th.

Q: Will the Permit Center be open on Friday, September 6th?
A: Yes, the Permit Center will be open. The hours of operation on the 1st Friday of each month is 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

Q: Can I go to the Permit Center to submit an application in person?
A: If you have a priority permit application, please submit it through Paperless Permits either before Friday, September 6th or on Saturday, September 7th. For help, Permit Center staff is available. For special accommodations or emergency cases, call 831-758-7251 or visit the front counter between 1PM - 4PM on Friday, September 6th.

Q: Will this affect getting a new business license, checking on the status of a business license application, or making a business license payment?
A: No, the update will not affect business licensing services. 

Q: Can I still access the City’s Open Data Portal?
A: Yes, the Open Data Portal will remain active for data acquisition.
