Community Sponsorships
Community organizations and individuals interested in requesting sponsorship from the City must complete a Community Sponsorship Application. Applicants can receive up to $50,000 per City fiscal year (July 1 - June 30), contingent on funding availability.
Total sponsorship funding through this program shall not exceed $250,000 but may be less from year to year dependent upon available funds identified through the annual budget process.
2024 Deadlines
- Applications must be received by: May 10, 2024 at 5:00 PM (PT)
- Completed applications can be submitted:
- In person or by mail to the Office of the City Manager, 200 Lincoln Ave, Salinas, CA 93901
- By email to CommunitySponsorship@ci.salinas.ca.us
- Before the event: All proof of all permits, clearances, insurances, and event authorizations must be provided to the City prior to the event, if applicable.
- After the event: An After Action Program/Event Summary & Expense Report must be submitted to the City within thirty (30) days after the event.
The purpose of the Community Sponsorship program is to establish a standardized process for sponsorship awards to qualifying non-profit community organizations, youth athletic groups/organizations, educational groups, or individuals, that provide a public benefit for the City’s residents.
