Ceremonial tree plantings take place in Salinas from time to time. Arbor Day typically is celebrated in April. At this and other events, residents can join with neighbors to plant trees, improve their neighborhood and have some fun! City staff will be present at most events. Here you can learn about tree care and apply for a street tree in front of your house.
In addition to City tree plantings, local service clubs and non-profit groups also donate and plant trees. Recently, the five Rotary Clubs in Salinas donated trees for the planting of a small grove at the Constitution Soccer Fields. Ceremonial ribbon cutting is scheduled to take place in late June.
