Chief Vanderveen joined the Salinas Fire Department August 7, 2006, and promoted to the rank of Fire Captain on September 28, 2015. Chief Vanderveen’s promotion is the result of his hard work, dedication, and commitment to our fire department and the citizens of Salinas. His experience and professional reputation as a long-time paramedic will help to enhance our ALS program into the future.
